Install wheel hub assembly, washers, and castle nut.
Torque castle nut to specification and install a new
cotter pin.

TORQUE

Rear Wheel Hub Castle Nut:

110 ft-lbs (149 Nm)

7.

Install rear caliper (see Chapter 9 – REAR CALIPER
SERVICE). Bleed the brake system. (See Chapter 9
– BRAKE BLEEDING / FLUID CHANGE, page 9.8.

8.

Field test unit for proper braking action before putting
into service. Inspect for fluid leaks and firm brakes.
Make sure brakes do not drag when pedal is
released. If the brakes drag, re-check assembly and
installation.
