Troubleshooting
Make sure the Pointy Box is located in a place where it is unlikely to get damaged.
We have provided a small piece of
double sided tape (velcro) to help mount the
Pointy Box in a safe place
.
No solid green light:
The Pointy Box needs to connect to the cellular network.
If the light on your Pointy Box blinks for more than five minutes, it is probably
struggling to connect to a network. Here are some tips that can help:
• It is
best to avoid
having the Pointy Box located
under or behind
anything that might block the cellular signal
.
• It is
best to have
the Pointy label facing the
nearest external
window or door
.
Cellular interference:
The Pointy Box, like a cellular phone, may cause
interference if mounted too close to other electrical devices (e.g. the POS screen or
credit card machine).
• It is
best to locate
the Pointy Box
at least 4 inches (10cm) from
other electrical devices.
Barcode scanner or POS problem:
If you experience any problems with
your barcode scanner or POS (e.g. barcode scanner not powering up, POS not
receiving barcodes), then restart the POS. If this does not resolve the problem then
unplug the Pointy Box and restart the POS if necessary.
