INSERTING THE BATTERIES:

Remove belt clip
•
Remove back cover
•
Insert the 4 batteries
•
Place back the cover and the belt clip
NOTE: Each radio uses 4 AAA/R3 batteries
COMMUNICATION RANGE:
The communication range depends very much on the using environment and other surrounding obstacles.
So, you will obtain a larger range on an open field than in the city surrounded by buildings.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
Turning unit on/off
: long press power button
Adjusting the volume
: press ▲▼ buttons
Channel selections
: press [MENU] button then use ▲▼ buttons to select the desired channel. Press [TALK]
button to confirm and exit menu.
Receiving signals
: the radio has the receiver always activated, so if a signal is send on the selected channel
the radio will receive it automatically
Transmitting
: press and hold [TALK] button. Free button to start receiving again.
NOTE: the radio can only transmit when the channel is free, no signal is received
Channel scan
: press scan button to enable/disable function
Monitor function
: press and hold [MON] button to enable, release [MON] button to disable function
Lamp
: press [LAMP] button to turn on lamp. Press button again to turn off the lamp
Security codes (CTCSS&DCS)
: press [MENU] twice then use ▲▼ buttons to select the desired code. Press
[TALK] button to confirm selection and exit menu. These codes allow you to have a private conversation with
another radio on the same channel with the same code. The CTCSS codes are 01 - 38 and the DCS codes are
39- 99. NOTE: DCS codes 39-98 correspond to DCS codes 1-60 from other radios
VOX
: this function allows you to transmit without pressing any buttons. The radio will detect your voice
