Notes Before You Begin:
Do not over tighten bolts during assembly, only snug
tighten them until assembly is complete. Do not install bolt caps until the structure
is completely assembled and properly footed.
Carefully read and understand these installation instructions before you
begin.
__Step 1:
Before attempting to assemble your equipment, please review all
installation information carefully. Should you experience any diffi culty during the
installation process, please call us at the phone number shown on the last page
of these instructions.
__Step 2:
Separate and identify all components and hardware.
__Step 3:
Excavate footings as shown in the Component
Footing Details
.
Refer to the applicable footings notes included in the Challenger Guidelines at
the beginning of the printed instruction booklet and on page 3 of this installation
document.
Attach the exit support legs to the slide.
__Step 4:
Attach the exit support legs to the slide. See

. Select the slide,
both exit support legs, and the appropriate hardware. There are (2) two connections
per leg, (4) four total connections. Position each exit support leg under the slide
exit and align holes. Attach as shown. Fully tighten the connections.
Attach the slide to the deck.
__Step 5:
Attach the slide to the deck. See

. Select the slide and the
appropriate hardware. There are (6) six connections. Using adequate manpower,
position your slide against the deck with the legs in the excavated footings. Align
the holes with the holes in the deck. The middle of both slide bedways should
be fl ush and level with the deck. Leave the connections loose for alignment
adjustments. Attach as shown.
Note:
Do not attach bolt caps until the structure is completely assembled and
properly footed.
__Step 6:
Make the upper attachments to the slide and deck. See
Detail C
.
Select the appropriate hardware. There are (6) six connections. Attach as shown.
Assemble the canopy top rail.
__Step 7:
Attach the clamps to the top rail. See

. Select the top rail, and
the centerline clamps, and the appropriate hardware. There is one connection per
clamp, (2) two total connections. Place the neck of each clamp against and end
of the top rail and align holes. Attach as shown. Fully tighten the connections.
__Step 8:
Attach the top rail to the canopy. See

. Select the top rail
assembly, the slide canopy and the appropriate hardware. There are (4) four
connections. Align holes in the top rail with those on the canopy. Turn the clamps
so that the hinges both point in the same direction. Attach as shown.
Attach the canopy to the support posts.
__Step 9
: Attach the clamps to the support posts. See

. Select the canopy
assembly, and the appropriate hardware. There is one connection per clamp, (2)
two total connections. Lift the canopy into position with fl at side facing the deck,
and close the clamps around the support posts. Insert the canopy supports into
the sockets on the slide and move it down until the canopy is fully seated. Adjust
the height of the top rail to 38" (965 mm) above the deck, level and snug tighten
the bolts. Attach as shown.
Note:
The top rail may be moved up to 40" (1016 mm) above the deck in the
event of a confl ict with an adjacent clamp.
Secure the lower canopy supports.
__Step 10:
Secure the lower canopy supports to the slide. See

. Select
the appropriate hardware. There are (2) two connections. Thread each screw into
the slide until it is tight against the support.
Note:
It may be necessary to use a 3/8" -16 tap to clean excess plastic from the
threaded insert to allow the screw to contact the slide canopy support.
