G-4 Planmeca Proline XC X-ray unit
POWER SUPPLY PCB INDICATOR LIGHTS
Technical Manual
D18: +33V
Indicator light for sec33V operating voltage. The light is normally always ON.
If the light is OFF, check the following (in this order):
1)
Check the light D26. If it is OFF, perform the checks described in section “D26: +15V”
on page G-3.
2)
Switch off the X-ray unit from the mains switch. Switch on the X-ray unit. If the light does
not go on, there might be a short circuit. Check this as described below.
3)
Disconnect the cable from connector J4 on the Power supply PCB an repeat step 2. If
the light does not go on, the Power supply PCB is faulty. Replace the Power supply
PCB.
4)
If the light went on, when the cable was disconnected from connector J4, the short circuit
is elsewhere in the X-ray unit. Connect the cable back to connector J4. Disconnect the
following cables and repeat the step 2 (in this order):
- cable between Keyboard processor PCB and Generator CPU PCB
- cable between Keyboard processor PCB and GUI PCB
- Planet cable / exposure switch cable
D19: +12V
Indicator light for sec12V operating voltage. This is Power supply PCB internal volt-
age. The light is normally always ON.
If the light is OFF, check the following (in this order):
1)
Check the light D18. If it is OFF, perform the checks described in section “D18: +33V”
on page G-4.
2)
If the light D18 is ON, replace the Power supply PCB.
D43: Filament Voltage
Indicator light for tube filament voltage. The indicator light goes on when preheating starts
and is ON during the whole exposure. The operation of this light should be checked with error
messages related to tube head.
In case of error messages 30 - 33 check the following (in this order):
1)
If the light is ON during preheating but the exposure is interrupted at the beginning of the
exposure. Perform the tube filament initializing. See section 2.8 “Tube type” on page B-
16.
2)
If the light does not go ON, check the Generator CPU PCB, PSU-GEN CPU cable and
Power supply PCB in this order.
3)
If the light is ON during preheating but the exposure is interrupted or the tube filament
initializing is not passed refer to section “LMP1: Exposure indicator” on page G-5.
