Installing a CryoCyl Low Pressure Cylinder
Wear protective clothing, including cryogloves, goggles,
boots and a protective apron.
The liquid-nitrogen supply pressure must not exceed 1.7
bar (25 psi).
The Controller is optimised for use with a Planer pump and
dewar ruuning at approximately 0.5 bar (7.5 psi). If
running from a 1.5 bar (22 psi) cylinder, alternative control
coefficients should be used. These can be downloaded into
the controller using a PC connection. Please contact your
supplier for details.
If the hose is not already fitted to the Chamber, wrap the male hose thread
with PTFE tap and fix to the LN
2
input on the back of the chamber.
Tighten securely with a spanner.
Connect an appropriate adapter to the cylinder, observing the
manufacturer’s instructions, then connect the delivery tube to the adapter
ensuring that the fibre washer is fitted to this joint. Tighten securely with a
spanner.
After connecting both ends of the delivery tube, open the
liquid-nitrogen tap slowly and check for leaks.
