.1 UPDATING OF THE FIRMWARE
1. Purpose
After replacing the MAI
N
Assy, be sure to update the firmware to the latest version. The firmware of the Assy for service
may not be the latest.
W
ith versions DB01T04281/YMA0513B or later, software updating for the SUB U-CO
N
using a CD-R/R
W
is also possible.

Necessary tools:
• PC with a CD-R/CD-R

drive
• Blank CD-R or CD-R

How to create:
1
Start up the program for writing to CD.
2
Load a blank disc in the CD-R/CD-R
W
drive.
3
Enter "PIO
N
EER" as the volume label.
4
Select the .BI
N
file.
5
W
rite the latest version of the firmware in ISO 9660 format.
Note:
For updating of the MPEG IC and the SUB U-CO
N
, their software programs must be copied onto separate
CD-R/R
W
discs.
N
ever copy the two software files to the same disc.

How to update:
1
Turn on the power.
2
Place the Up-Date Disc for updating and insert the disc. (The reading will start and the following screen will appear.)
3
Press the PLAY button.
The data reading will start. And, "File Copying" appears on the T
V
monitor.
After the finishing of the data reading, Disc is eject automatically.
The display will change to "CLEAR".
(During updating of the SUB U-CO
N
, the value on the counter will increase.)
After updating of the SUB U-CO
N
is completed, the unit will automatically shut itself off.
