or valid DTV channel but signal is too weak)
Remote control mode select buttons
• In ANALOG TV mode
[
, remote control turns
on/off power, sets volume, and selects input
mode and channels for analog TV.
• In CATV mode
[
, remote control turns on/off
power and selects channels for cable TV
converter box.
[ When operation buttons common to the DTV, analog TV
and cable TV converter box (such as the CHANNEL
UP/DOWN buttons) are pressed, the remote control mode
select button for the device being controlled will light up.
To operate a device other than that currently being
controlled, press the appropriate remote control mode
select button and then the desired operation button.
Colored (FAVORITES) buttons
• Used to select any of four preset channels.
• Used to select screens during menu screen.
• Press for two seconds to preset a favorite
channel.
SELECT button
CHANNEL UP/DOWN buttons
Used to select channel.
CC (Closed Caption) button
Displays captions during closed-caption
broadcasts.
VIEW MODE button
Adjusts picture size.
CLEAR button
Clears on-screen display.
CH RETURN button
Returns to previous channel.
AIR/CABLE button
Used to switch to AIR/CABLE as an input source.
POWER button
Turns power on and off for Digital Tuner.
Cursor buttons
Used to move cursor on menu screen and
the channel list.
INFO button
Displays Info Banner.
VOL (Volume) buttons
Used to control volume level for the current
analog TV broadcast.
MENU button
Turns menu screen on and off.
CH LIST button
Turns channel list on and off.
Numeric buttons
Used to select channel and input
password.
AUDIO button
Used to select audio mode during
multiaudio broadcasts.
DTV/480I button
Used to switch to 480I for reception.
VCR operation buttons
Light button
Lights certain buttons on the remote
control when pressed.
ENTER button
Used when the analog TV or cable TV
converter box requires an “enter”
command after selecting channels.
DTV/480I button
Selects 480I or
1080I/720P/480P.
480I/REC indicator
