WARNING
≥
Do not wet batteries with water, etc.
≥
Keep batteries out of reach of infants.
Consult a physician immediately if batteries are swallowed.
≥
Do not carry or store together with other metal items such as coins, keys, or
necklaces.
Put the battery in a carrying case or similar when you need to carry it somewhere. If
metal touches the terminals of the battery, the battery may short and cause heat to
be emitted.
≥
Do not peel off or dismantle the plastic tubing on cylindrical batteries or the casing of
battery packs, etc.
≥
If charging does not finish even after the time allowed, stop charging.
≥
Do not put into microwaves or high-pressure containers.
≥
Stop using the battery if you feel there is a problem during use, charging, or storage.
Changes from the ordinary such as odors, heat, discoloration, and deformation may
mean that there is danger of overheating, rupturing, or ignition.
≥
Remove from sources of flame if the battery is leaking or is emitting an odor.
The electrolyte may catch fire which can lead to rupturing and ignition.

CAUTION
≥
Do not place or cover the battery with combustible materials while it is charging or
discharging.
≥
Do not charge the battery for longer than the allotted time.
≥
Turn the unit off after using the battery.
≥
When not using the battery or when the unit is not to be used for a long period,
remove the battery.
≥
When using the battery for the first time, do not use if there is rust, odor, heat, or any
other abnormality.
≥
Never put batteries in mouth. If swallowed, contact your physician or local poison
control center.
Recycling of the rechargeable battery
≥
This unit uses a nickel-metal-hydride rechargeable battery (the supplied special
AAA/R03 rechargeable battery).
≥
Nickel-metal-hydride rechargeable batteries are valuable resources that can be
recycled.
≥
Batteries you no longer need after replacement should be taken to a store
participating in recycling, ensuring that you follow the below cautions.
– As there is a danger of shorting causing smoke to be emitted or ignition, stick tape,
etc., over the terminals of the rechargeable battery to insulate them.
– Do not peel off the plastic cover (coating, tube) from the rechargeable battery.
