CD CRG can't be moved to inner diameter.
CRG can't be moved from inner diameter.

Failure on home switch or CRG move mechanism.
Communication failure between the microcomputer and the LSI
Target address can't be reached

Failure on the carriage/tracking or scratches on the disc.
Ground fault of power supply (VD)

Failure on switching transistor or failure of power supply.

DISC Focus error F2 Focusing not available.

Stains on rear side of disc or excessive vibrations on REWRITABLE.
Spindle not locked. Sub-code is strange (not readable).
An appropriate RF AMP gain can't be determined.

Failure on spindle, stains or damages on disc, or excessive vibrations.

CD signal error.

A disc not containing CD-R data is found. Turned over disc are found,
though rarely.
AGC protection cannot be turned on in time or focus can be easily lost
