Scrolling titles in the display
This unit can display the first 19 letters only of
D.Title
,
D.Artist
,
T.Title
and
T.Artist
. When
the recorded information is longer than 19 let-
ters, you can scroll the text to the left so that
the rest of the title can be seen.

Press DISPLAY and hold until the title
begins to scroll to the left.
The rest of the title will appear in the display.
Selecting tracks from the track
title list
Track title list lets you see the list of track titles
on a CD TEXT disc and select one of them to
play back.
1 Use the joystick to select TRACK LIST.
2 Use the joystick to select the desired
track title.
Move up or down to change the track title;
click to select.
That selection will begin to play.

To go to the next group of track titles, move
the joystick to
NEXT
and click it.

To return to the previous group of track titles,
move the joystick to
PREV
and click it.
Using compression and
bass emphasis
You can use these functions only with a multi-
CD player that supports them.
Using COMP (compression) and DBE (dy-
namic bass emphasis) functions lets you ad-
just the sound playback quality of the multi-
CD player. Each of the functions has a two-
step adjustment. The COMP function balances
the output of louder and softer sounds at high-
er volumes. DBE boosts bass levels to give
playback a fuller sound. Listen to each of the
effects as you select them and use the one
that best enhances the playback of the track
or CD that you are listening to.
1 Use the joystick to select COMP.

If the multi-CD player does not support
COMP/DBE,

is displayed when you at-
tempt to select it.
2 Move the joystick left or right to select
your favorite setting.
