05-0772 Measurement Chamber Replacement
The Measurement Chamber requires replacement with a new or refurbished unit as per
the schedule in Table 3. The following instructions cover this procedure.
Warning: Set DPM Reader to Safety Control Level 4.
The measurement chamber consists of the measurement chamber block, laser, light
detector sensor, light trap, airflow pipe fittings and mounting bracket assembly. DO NOT
disassemble these from the chamber block.
Removal
Refer to Figure 10.
1. Detach the green grounding cable attached to the common Earth stud on the
enclosure as illustrated in.
2. Remove the two cables from the amplifier board. Do not pull on the wires,
instead, grip the connector as there will be a dab of silicon on the connector to
hold it in place. Carefully lift the socket from the PCA board mounted plug.
3. Remove the cable tie securing the wiring
4. Carefully detach the upper silicon vacuum tube from the outward facing air
hose nipple connector on the measurement chamber, using a twisting and side-
to-side hand action close to the air hose nipple on the measurement block. A
flat bladed screwdriver can also be used to assist leveraging the silicon vacuum
tube off the air hose nipple connector if it appears stuck.
5. No2 Phillips head screwdriver unfasten the three screw fasteners on the
underside of the measurement chamber mounting bracket assembly.
