5. Useful tips on transport, storage and care.
The OYSTER is deliberately heavy due to its de-
sign. In strong winds the hammock could still turn.
Depending on the intensity of the „windbeat“, it
can also be stressful for the material or micro-grid
fabric. The windblow can cause the coloured fila-
ment of the covering to rub and partially peel off.
This results in unsightly colour peeling. However,
the stability of the hammock is maintained.
Note: Damage to material due to strong wind is
not covered by the warranty, as it can be avoided
if used correctly.
If, for example, you remove the two spreader bars
from the thimbles of the stretched OYSTER, the
hammock will collapse flat and have less wind at-
tack surface.
But she must not rub the floor in this condition.
Better still, take the hammock down in time and
do not expose it to strong winds.
The All-Weather material was developed for out-
door use (can also be used indoors) and is resistant
to sun and moisture.
To clean the hammock, a sponge with water or a
little bit of soapy water is sufficient. Under no cir-
cumstances use the high-pressure cleaner or the
washing machine.
The Crazy Chair logo is placed on the lying side
in the head area for orientation. The black straps
point to the underside of the hammock.
3. Hanging the hammock.
Choose a suitable place to hang the hammock, e.g. on a hammock stand, between 2 trees or on 2 fixed
attachment points.
V4A safety shackles are tied at both ends of the hammock. Fold the two ends of the suspension rope in
the appropriate length as a loop, which corresponds to the distance of the rope suspension. Tie the two
ends of the rope with a simple looped knot. Attach the cables to the selected suspension point, which
should be approx. 2.60 m to 4.50 m apart.
The ropes are knotted at an attachment height of approx. 140 cm, e.g. on a tree, a hook or a stand. If the
distance is greater, the two suspension points of the OYSTER must be correspondingly higher.
4. Use of the hammock.
The hammock should be stretched taut for easy entry/exit without moving strongly out of the bend of
the body. When standing in front of the hammock, the edge of the hammock is at waist level. You stand in
front of the hammock in the middle and hold the longitudinal outer edge with both hands. Pull it under
your bottom and sit in the middle of the hammock.
From the sitting position you turn your upper body sideways to the back in the lying position and swing
your legs into the hammock.
When you lie down in the hammock for the first time, all knots are loaded by the body weight and the
ropes are tightened in length. All thimbles get the perfect shape and the hammock gets its final position.
It is therefore a good idea to adjust the hammock position to the perfect desired height (on both suspen-
sion ropes).
