Slightly loosen the upper compressor mounting bolts.

Loosen lower compressor rod end tensioning adjustment nut.

Loosen drive motor pulley set screws.

Slide lower compressor in towards drive motor, slide drive pulley and belt from motor
shaft, while at the same time sliding the drive belt off the compressor pulley.

Removal of Compressor Assembly
5.2.4.1
Remove belt cover, drive belt, and drive pulley per 5.2.2 and 5.2.3.

Disconnect condenser refrigerant lines from compressor plumbing port and cap off
immediately.

Remove compressor mounting bolts and washers.
5.2.4.4
Carefully lift compressor from mounting bracket.

Removal of Drive Motor
5.2.5.1
Remove belt cover, drive pulley, and belt per 5.2.2 and 5.2.3

Cut safety wire and remove six screws securing condenser support bracket.
5.2.5.3
Disconnect power cables from power relay and mark for later identification.
5.2.5.4
Remove all cable ties used to secure wiring to motor.
CAUTION
: DO NOT ALLOW MOTOR TO FALL ON POWER RELAY DURING THIS PROCEDURE OR
DAMAGE MAY RESULT.

Remove motor mounting bolts from motor support bracket.
5.2.5.6
Remove condenser support bracket from assembly.
CAUTION
: TAKE EXTREME CARE WHEN REMOVING DRIVE MOTOR FROM ASSEMBLY OR DAMAGE
TO COIL COULD OCCUR.

Carefully slide motor sideways from assembly.
