NOTE:
•
If the Aerial Master Switch (Item 1) is engaged while the apparatus is approaching the scene,
the switch will be illuminated RED and the set up screen will appear on the color display. Once
the apparatus is parked with the Transmission in Neutral and the Parking Brake is applied, the
Aerial Master Switch will be illuminated GREEN.

There are various types of switches used on Pierce Apparatus. Two types are shown above.
1.
AERIAL MASTER SWITCH.
Two position switch; activates the aerial electrical circuits. Depress the switch
to turn on power to the aerial; depress again to turn off. The AERIAL MASTER switch will illuminate when
the electrical circuits are active.
2.
AERIAL PTO SWITCH.
Two position switch; activates the transmission mounted power take-off (PTO),
providing rotational input for the hydraulic pump. Depress switch to turn on power to the PTO; depress
again to turn off. The AERIAL PTO switch will illuminate when the PTO has successfully engaged.
3.
AERIAL MASTER SWITCH.
Two position switch; activates the aerial electrical circuits. Depress top of the
switch to turn ON power to the aerial; depress again to turn OFF. The top of the AERIAL MASTER switch
will illuminate when the electrical circuits are active.
4.
AERIAL PTO SWITCH.
Two position switch; activates the transmission mounted power take-off (PTO),
providing rotational input for the hydraulic pump. Depress top of the switch to turn ON power to the PTO;
depress again to turn OFF. The top of the AERIAL PTO switch will illuminate when the PTO has
successfully engaged.
