Headlight adjustment (03_35, 03_36, 03_37, 03_38)
Proceed as follows:

. Position the unloaded vehicle, in running order and with the tyres inflated to the
prescribed pressure, onto a flat surface 10 m away from a half-lit white screen; make
sure the vehicle axis is perpendicular to the screen.

. Turn on the headlight and check that the limit of the projected light beam is not
higher than 9/10 or lower than 7/10 of the height of the centre of the headlight from
the ground.

. Otherwise, adjust the headlight.

THE ABOVE PROCEDURE COMPLIES WITH THE EUROPEAN STANDARDS RE-
GARDING MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM HEIGHT OF LIGHT BEAMS. REFER TO THE
STATUTORY REGULATIONS IN FORCE IN EVERY COUNTRY WHERE THE VE-
HICLE IS USED.

In order to adjust the light beams:
- Remove the PIAGGIO clip-on badge and undo the screw «
A
».
- Working on both sides of the vehicle, undo the screw «
B
» and remove the front
headlight cover.
- Act on screws «
I
» in order to aim the light properly.
CAUTION
DO NOT CARRY ANY GARMENTS ON THE FRONT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY.
THIS MAY CAUSE BULBS TO OVERHEAT AND THEREFORE ABNORMAL
WEAR.
