9 EMC Requirements
CAUTION
– Possible damages!
Please consider the following references for EMC reliability
:

Only use shielded cables
.
- The cables should not be interrupted by additional connectors or
screw
terminals from the unit to the motor in order not to deteriorate the
shield effect
.
- It is important to connect the shielding mesh to the motor housing on a large
area. Use special EMC-type conduit fittings. All parts of the motor should be
conductively connected with each other. We recommend using EMC conduit
fittings at the motor side.

In case of motors without adapted conduit fittings the cable shielding must
be connected as near to the motor as possible and has to be applied to the
housing
.
