Preventive Maintenance

Replacing the CHARGE-PAK Battery Charger (continued)

3. Discharge the used battery charger using the discharge tool that is supplied 

with the replacement kit 

4. Insert the new battery charger into the defibrillator until you hear it “click” into 

position. If the battery charger is not completely inserted, it will spring back 
out. 

5. Confirm that the 

BATTERY 

indicator disappears and that the 

OK

 indicator 

appears on the Readiness Display before returning the defibrillator to 
service. (The internal battery must charge for a period of time before the 

OK

 

indicator appears.)
