The Titanium Elite 12d subwoofers are overengineered and overbuilt in virtually every way conceivable. Its very
important that the enclosure is built to these same exacting standards. The enclosure MUST be comprised of 1
inch MDF or two separate 3/4 inch MDF layers. A single layer of 3/4 inch MDF is not recommend due to the
intense internal combustion chamber and weight of the driver. Internal crossbracing is highly recommended for
further enclosure rigidity. Screws or air staples are excellent construction fasteners when used with a strong
bonding “yellow” wood working glue that can fill joint gaps. Be sure that the enclosure’s panels are airtight at all
joining seams. Lining the walls with a polyester matting 1 to 3 inches thick is sufficient.

The charts provided should be used as a reference when building an enclosure for your Titanium Elite 12d woofer.
The charts contain several enclosure types. The Sound Quality enclosure provides deeper, tighter, and more
musical output to truly reproduce the original source material. While the SPL fits the basshead’s needs of
maximum output while sacrificing some sound quality.
Enclosure Recommendations
Composite Anodized Aluminum Flat Panel Diaphragm,
Made of a skin of 22 GA 80 grit grained aluminum with a
matte gray anodizing. This is sandwiched together with a
high density lightweight gator foam. The combination
provides an ultra strong well damped flat panel diaphragm.

The Ti12d Elite is a radical new subwoofer design that integrates many levels of design and performance. Its museum level cosmetics,
aerospace materials and user friendly serviceability add up to a superb sounding subwoofer with amazing output capabilities.
Materials:
The Ti12d Elite woofer features a custom cast aluminum basket that gives the ability to design a speaker with as much as 4 inches of
peak-to-peak excursion. The unique ABS injection molded spider spacer is color matched to the basket and spaces custom tooled 9"
spiders 1.5" apart for perfect dynamic alignment. The diaphragm assembly is hybrid blend of high density foam laminated to a
grained and anodized aluminum skin. Our exclusive Ultra-Bright Tri-LED assembly highlights the massive excursion capability of the
driver and offers a unique cosmetic dressing to the cone body.
Design and Applications:
The Ti12d Elite subwoofer is designed to compete at all levels of the high-end of the car audio market. The driver is not limited to
only SPL applications. In fact, the design goal was to develop a sound quality subwoofer that is capable of very high output. Many
features built in to the Ti12d Elite subwoofer like a 3" voice coil and integrated aluminum heat sink also allow it to be driven with
massive amounts of power. We recommend at least 1000 watts of continuos power to drive the subwoofer appropriately.
Flexibility:
The Ti12d Elite is one of the only subwoofers available for the car audio market that has a user serviceable diaphragm. By removing
screws on the underside of the basket holding in the spider and surround, the entire moving diaphragm assembly can be removed
and replaced. This gives the customer the ability to purchase an assembly optimized for different amplifiers and speaker enclosures.
Also, if in the unlikely event that the voice coil should fail, the entire assembly can be fixed in the field immediately. More information

The Titanium Elite 12d has three input terminals. The ter-
minal located directly under the LEDs is used to power the
LEDs. The other two terminals are used to wire the individ-
ual voice coils. DO NOT WIRE THE AMPLIFIER’S
SPEAKER OUTPUTS TO THE SPEAKER’S LED INPUT.
