Precautionary statements for use in hazardous lo-
cations
1.4.1
UL notes
This equipment is suitable for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D or non-
hazardous locations only.
This equipment is an open-type device meant to be installed in an enclosure suitable for the
environment that is only accessible with the use of a tool.
1.4.2
Installation in zone 2
The category 3 device is suitable for installation in zone 2 potentially explosive areas. It
fulfills the requirements of IEC/EN 60079-0+A11 and IEC/EN 60079-7.
The equipment must be installed in a suitably-certified (for example, Ex e or Ex nA) tool-
secure enclosure providing a minimum ingress protection of IP54. The overall equipment
(with its enclosure) shall only be used in an area of at least pollution degree 2, as defined in
IEC/EN 60664-1.
In potentially explosive areas, the reset switch may only be activated when power the device
is disconnected.
Do not disconnect equipment unless power has been switched off or the area is known to
be non-hazardous.
Power supply must be from a Class 2, SELV, LPS, or LVLE source.
