Important safety information
Read this important information carefully before you use the appliance and
save it for future reference.
Danger
- Never immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid and do not
rinse it under the tap. Use only a moist cloth to clean the motor unit.
Warning
- Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local
mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance if the mains cord, the plug or other parts are
damaged.
- If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a
service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualifi ed persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in
a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
- This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its
cord out of the reach of children.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
ENGLISH
- Be very careful when you handle a blade unit. Be especially careful when
you remove it from the bowl, when you empty the bowl and when you
clean it. Its cutting edges are very sharp
- If one of the blade units gets stuck, switch off the appliance before you
remove the ingredients that block the blade unit.
Caution
- Never use any accessories or parts from other manufacturers or that
Philips does not specifi cally recommend. If you use such accessories or
parts, your guarantee becomes invalid.
- Only use this appliance for its intended purpose as shown in the user
manual.
- This appliance is intended for household use only.
- Do not exceed the quantities and processing times indicated in the
table.
- Cut large ingredients into pieces of approximately 2cm before you
process them.

Never fi ll the bowl with ingredients that are hotter than 80°C/175°F.
- If ingredients stick to the wall of the bowl, remove the motor unit and
the lid. Then loosen the ingredients with a spatula or add some liquid.
- Do not let the appliance operate with any of the accessories longer
than 3 minutes without interruption. Let the appliance cool down for 15
minutes before you continue processing.
- Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids
such as petrol or acetone to clean the appliance.
Electromagnetic fi elds (EMF)
This Philips appliance complies with all applicable standards and regulations
regarding exposure to electromagnetic fi elds.
Recycling
- This symbol on a product means that the product is covered by
European Directive 2012/19/EU. Inform yourself about the local
separate collection system for electrical and electronic products. Follow
local rules and never dispose of the product with normal household
waste. Correct disposal of old products helps prevent negative
consequences for the environment and human health (Fig. 1) .
