Dictation functions with the foot control
Preparations
1. Connect the foot control plug to the socket „FOOTSW” on the back of the device.A switch is located on
the underside of the foot control – set this to position „N”.
2. Connect the conference microphone LFH 172 (optional) to the „CONF.REC.” socket on the back of the
device.
3. Press and hold both buttons „DOWNLOAD” + „SKIP/FWD” while pressing the middle pedal of the foot
control.
4. „HF” (hands-free) now appears in the upper left of the LCD display.The dictation device is ready for
recording and can be operated as described on the previous page (see left).

You can play audio files through the built-in speaker or through headphones.To start the

playback stops automatically.
You can adjust the

The DDT 9750 allows you to fast forward the recording by pressing the

the end of the file is reached, you will hear a beep and the fast forwarding stops automatically.
For fast rewind, hold down the
.As soon as the start of the file is reached, you will
hear a beep and the fast rewinding stops automatically.
You can move between files with the skip function of the DDT 9750. For „
”, press the SKIP/FWD
button or move the jog dial to the right to skip to the end of the current file.Then pressing the SKIP/FWD
button or moving the jog dial will always move to the end of the next file.
For „
”, press the SKIP/BACK button or move the jog dial to the left. – This will move you to the
start of the file(s).

You can set the value for the automatic backspace during playback of a dictation with the ABS slider
( ), this means:
• Playback does not begin where the dictation was stopped, rather a few seconds earlier.
• To turn off the automatic backspace, set the slider to 0.
