Call barring Enables you to restrict or bar certain or
all types of calls to and from your mo-
bile phone, i.e. outgoing calls, outgoing
international calls, incoming calls. Bar-
ring is activated with a personal code.
To use this service, it must be support-
ed by your network and by your phone.
You may also have to add this service to
your subscription.
Call
forwarding This feature allows you to program a
number to which all incoming calls
will be automatically rerouted.
Call
restriction Enables you to restrict or bar certain or

paging service allows an operator to

all or dedicated subscriber surrounding
a cell or a region.
GPRS Generalised Packet Radio Service -
GSM network structure and methods
development in terms of data connec-
tivity with a high speed rate and dy-
namic allocation.
GSM Global System for Mobile communica-
tions
- Digital wireless telecommunica-
tions standard widely used throughout
the world and used by your phone.
GSM 900 uses 900 MHz frequency
band, whereas GSM 1800 uses 1800
MHz frequency band (see “Operator
services” page 66).
