Watching digital TV/radio
broadcast
This DVD recorder is able to receive
free-to-air DVB-T (Digital Video
Broadcast-Terrestrial) and radio stations.
As new services are added over time,
make sure to regularly update and install
new channels, see page 83.

While watching digital TV/radio broadcast,
you can have the following options:
Changing the subtitle/audio
language
This operation works only for broadcasts
with multiple subtitle/audio languages.
The subtitle/audio language can be
changed using the toolbar, see page 63.
Note:
You can also hold down the
TEXT
button on the remote control for quick
access to the subtitle option.
Showing the programme
information
Press
INFO
m
and followed by the
Green
button for {
NOW NEXT
} to
display the programme information
screen.
The display consists of an information
box showing the description of the
current programme and the name of the
next programme of that channel.
To view the programme information
on other channels, press the
CH
+
/
−
.

Viewing digital text service
(MHEG)
(for UK only)
Many digital TV channels broadcast
information via their text service. This
digital service includes high quality digital
text and graphics along with advanced
navigation options.
MHEG can only be activated if no
subtitles are shown on the screen.
Before you start...
Turn off the subtitle using the toolbar
option (see page 63). This can also be
done by holding down the
TEXT
button
on the remote control until the subtitle
toolbar option appears. Press
to
select { Off } in the menu and press to
confi rm.
A
Press
TUNER
repeatedly until ‘DXXX’
appears on the top of the screen.
B
Press
TEXT
or the
Red
button on the
remote control.
C
Once the text information is displayed,
you can use
keys, the colour
coded buttons and/or the
alphanumeric keypad 0-9
on the
remote control to access the required
information.
The broadcaster decides the
appearance, content and navigation
methods of all digital text services.
D
Press
TEXT
again to exit.
Helpful Hints:
– Not all TV channels transmit interactive
television application at all times.
– T/C button on the remote control can be
used as the { SELECT } button.
