10 Repair and Disassembly

Removing the Front End Assembly

The front end assembly consists of:
•

the fetal sensor socket connectors with ribbon cable

•

the bus master board with ribbon cable

•

the optional noninvasive blood pressure and SpO

socket connectors

•

the connector block frame

To remove front end assembly:

Remove the top cover assembly (see “Removing the Top Cover Assembly” on page 141).

If the noninvasive blood pressure assembly is fitted, remove it (see “Removing the Noninvasive
Blood Pressure Assembly” on page 188).

If the SpO

assembly is fitted, remove it (see “Removing the Top Cover Assembly” on page 141).

Also remove the SpO

board holder by removing the two screws fastening it to the bottom

housing.

Disconnect the flat ribbon cable connecting the bus master board to the main CPU board.
