process aims to create Philips televisions
that are increasingly eco-friendly and that
have significantly less impact on the
environment. Philips has been awarded
the EU ECO label (the flower) on the
majority of its models because of the
televisions' high energy efficiency, ultra
low standby power (up to 50% less than
the required EU ECO label level), absence
of hazardous substances (e.g. lead) and the
fact that Philips has designed televisions
