The VCOM Adjustment should be
performed when replacing the T-CON
CBA.
3. VCOM Adjustment
1. Set the color analyzer at the flicker adjustment
mode and bring the optical receptor pointing at the
center of the LCD-Panel at a distance of 1.18
inches(3cm) away from the LCD-Panel surface.
Note:
The optical receptor must be set
perpendicularly to the LCD Panel surface.
2. Set the VCOM Jig to VCOM connector on Digital
Main CBA Unit, and connect the VCOM Jig to PC
with USB cable as shown below.
3. Enter the service mode.
4. Press [2] button to select the VCOM1 adjustment.
5. Press [1] button. VCOM1 pattern signal (1 X 1 flicker)
appears in the screen.
6. Start the VCOM Adjustment software.
To check if the connection is properly set, confirm that
the I2C address displayed in the [I2C Address
Setting] or [......connect] and [I2C Address] appears
on the bottom left side of the VCOM Adjustment
software screen.
7. Configure the following VCOM Adjustment
software settings as shown below.
Output Select: DAC
Register Addressing Mode: Single
Bank Select: Bank1
8. Adjust the VCOM Channel - VCOM setting of the
VCOM Adjustment software so that the flicker
value of the color analyzer is set to the lowest
value available.
The target flicker value is under 20[a.u].
9. Configure the following VCOM Adjustment
software settings as shown below.
Output Select: MTP
Register Addressing Mode: Burst
Bank Select: Bank1
10. Click on [Burn All Value To Registers] to save the
settings.
11. To cancel or to exit from the VCOM Adjustment,
press [CH RETURN] or [PREV CH] button.
