Real Flat picture tube

The flatter tube provides a wider viewing angle while

minimizing reflections for the best picture possible. The

special alloy invar shadow mask helps maintain sharper

focus and eliminates 'color blooming' compared to

standard tubes.

Active Control

Active Control ensure that noise and sharpness

improvements are continuously made at a rate of 60

times per second. By continually adjusting picture

setting over 3,000 times per minute, Active Control Plus

ensures that the viewing experience is optimized.

Crystal Clear

Combining picture enhancements like Contrast plus and

color improvement, Crystal Clear improves picture

depth.

Incredible Surround™

Incredible Surround is an audio technology from Philips

that dramatically magnifies the sound field to immerse

you in the audio. Using state-of-the-art electronic phase

shifting, Incredible Surround mixes sounds from left and

right in such a way that it expands the virtual distance

between the two speakers. This wider spread greatly

enhances the stereo effect and creates a more natural

sound dimension. Incredible Surround allows you to

experience total surround with greater depth and width

of sound, without the use of additional speakers.

Plays DVD/CD/MP3

Picture CD Playback (jpeg)

A Picture CD contains digital still pictures in JPEG

format. Most Philips DVD players and recorders

support playback of Picture CDs – both home created

discs as well as ones from photo shops.

Smart Picture and Smart Sound

Philips preset modes for Smart Picture and Smart Sound

provide you with direct access via a single key on the

remote control. You can select optimized picture and

sound settings for the various picture modes such as

Eco, Natural, Rich, Multimedia and Personal, and sound

modes such as Movie, Voice, Music and Personal. Do

refer to the DFU for the various picture and sound

smart modes.

Signal Strength Indicator

The signal strength indicator displays signal strength

when you change the channel, and continuously tracks

and updates the incoming signal strength.

Energy Saving Mode

The Energy Saving Mode feature changes the settings

of the set to consume less energy. The energy saving

feature is particularly usefull in darkened rooms without

daylight when there is less need for high light output and

dynamic sound from the TV.

Component Video Input (YPbPr)

Component Video is the highest quality interconnection

standard for analog video. It is sharper than S-video and

composite video. Philips DVD recorders can record

directly from component video (such as YPbPr) sources

including satellite receivers

Side Stereo AV & headphone

Side stereo AV & headphone makes it more convenient

to connect external devices like audio equipment,

games and video cameras. It's the easy way to enjoy an

extra audio sensation or a totally immersive gaming

experience.

Rear Stereo AV with S-video

Stereo AV and S-Video inputs are provided on the back

of the set for connecting external devices like audio

equipment, games and video cameras.
