SmartImage Lite
SmartImage Lite is an exclusive, leading edge
Philips technology that analyses the content
displayed on your screen. Based on a scenario
you select, SmartImage Lite dynamically
enhances the contrast, colour saturation and
sharpness of images and videos for ultimate
display performance - all in real time with the
press on a single button.
SmartResponse
SmartResponse is exclusive Philips technology
that adjusts response time to application
requirements, delivering faster response times
for gaming and videos or better colour
saturation for viewing photos and static
images.
SmartContrast
SmartContrast is Philips technology that
analyses the contents you are displaying,
automatically adjusting colours and controlling
backlight intensity to dynamically enhance
contrast for the best digital images and
optimum contrast for more entertainment fun
when viewing videos or playing games where
dark hues are displayed; when you select the
Economy mode, contrast is adjusted and
backlighting fine-tuned for just-right display of
everyday office applications and lower power
consumption.
2ms GtG response time
GtG response time is the average time that it
takes for a pixel to go from one arbitrary
position to another, which is the average time
of transition between several sets of random
colour levels. Faster is better: Lower response
time means faster transitions and, therefore,
results in fewer visible image artefacts in the
display of fast moving images. GtG response
time is an important way to measure display
quality of multimedia content like movies,
videos and games.
PerfectPanel™
Bright dots and dark dots are defects in a LCD
panel. While some manufacturers still consider
bright and dark defects in a LCD panel an
inevitable part of the manufacturing process,
Philips doesn't. Philips monitors, compliant
with ISO 13406-2 Class I standard, are
produced with zero tolerance for LCD panel
defects and backed by Philips PerfectPanel™
globally valid warranty providing repair or
replacement of any LCD monitors that display
even a single defective bright or dark dot.
HDCP ready
High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection
(HDCP) is a copyright protection system that
is incorporated into the DVI connector. It
helps stop unauthorised duplication of
copyrighted content. HDCP allows you to play
protected content media such as movies and
concerts. It checks the signal to prevent piracy,
allowing only legal copies of content to display.
SmartTouch controls
SmartTouch controls are intelligent, ultra-
responsive, touch sensitive icons that replace
protruding buttons. Responding to your
lightest touch, SmartTouch controls, for
example, power up your monitor or brighten
and sharpen your display with SmartImage Lite.
When activated, SmartTouch icons glow to
indicate that your commands have been
implemented.
Innovative cutting-edge design
An exclusive design concept that combines
smooth, flowing lines reminiscent fine modern
sculpture with ultra modern materials and
techno touches to create a monitor that makes
a lifestyle statement.
USB 2.0 port
The universal serial bus or USB is a standard
protocol for linking PCs and peripherals.
Because it delivers high speed at a low cost,
USB has become the most popular method for
connecting peripheral devices to a computer.
A port located on a monitor directly in the
user's line of sight provides easy, high-speed
connectivity for USB devices at a convenient
location. (USB 2.0 support is dependent on
your PC's USB configuration; when connected
to a PC that supports USB 2.0, your monitor is
USB 2.0 compatible)
Built-in speakers
Audio speakers built into a display device.
Embedded power supply
An embedded power supply is a power
adaptor built into the body of a display device
that replaces a bulky external power adaptor.
