Please take 5 minutes to read through the
whole of this leaflet before you use your
AVENT Express Bottle and Babyfood
Warmer for the first time and retain for
future reference.

The AVENT Express Bottle and Babyfood
Warmer allows you to warm all AVENT
feeding bottles, as well as baby food jars and
tins, safely and quickly.

The speed at which the Warmer heats the milk
or food will depend on the size of the bottle
or container and the starting temperature of
the milk or food (e.g. room temperature 20 °C
or out of fridge 5 °C). The attached guide
gives an indication of the time you can expect
the Warmer to take. Always test the
temperature of feed before warming.

Hazard Warning

• When in use the Warmer contains hot water.
• Always keep the Warmer and its lead out of

the reach of small children.

• Before plugging in the Warmer for the first

time, ensure the voltage is compatible with
your electricity supply by checking the label
on the base of the unit.

• Always unplug from mains when not in use.
• Always place bottle into Warmer before

adding water.

• Ensure water has been added before

switching the unit on.

• When the feed has reached the required

temperature, remove immediately. If left
in the Warmer, the temperature of the feed
will continue to increase.

Instructions for Use

a) For AVENT Feeding Bottles

1) Ensure basket is in place inside the

Bottle Warmer.

2) Place the assembled, filled bottle in the

Warmer.

3) For 125 ml / 4 oz bottles, fill the Warmer

with water to just above the level of milk
in the bottle.

4) For larger bottles, fill the Warmer to 15

mm (

1

/

2

inch) below the rim of the Warmer.

5) Never let the water level rise above the

neck of the bottle or spill over the edge of
the Warmer.

6) Plug in the unit and switch on at the

mains. Turn the dial to setting 3.

7) The light will illuminate to indicate the

Warmer is working.

8) When the water has reached the correct

temperature, the light will come on and
off to indicate that the water surrounding
the bottle is being kept at a constant
temperature.

9) Always shake the bottle gently and check

the temperature of the milk by sprinkling a
few drops on to your wrist before you feed
your baby. Take care not to overheat the
milk.

NB: The basket can be removed when
heating the AVENT Magic cup and other
makes of bottles.

b) For the AVENT Disposable System

1) Ensure basket is in place inside the Bottle

Warmer.

2) Place the assembled, filled Disposable

Bottle/Nurser in the Warmer.

3) Fill the Warmer with water to the level of

milk in the bottle bag/liner.

4) Plug in the unit and switch on at the

mains. Turn the dial to setting 2 and
continue as 7-9 above. Do not attempt to
heat milk in the Disposable bottle
bags/liners on a higher setting as this could
cause the bags to burst.

5) The Warmer can also be used to warm

breast milk in the AVENT Disposable
System in the same way.

c) For baby food jars and tins:

1) Ensure basket is in place inside the Bottle

Warmer.

2) Remove the lid and place jar or tin in the

Warmer.

3) Fill the Warmer with water to 15 mm

(

1

/

2

inch) below the top of the jar/tin.

4) Turn the dial to setting 3.
5) The Warmer will work in the same way as

for feeding bottles. Take care when
removing the jar or tin as it, and the water
surrounding it, will be hot.

6) Stir the food and test it on a spoon

yourself to ensure it is not too hot for your
baby. Take care not to overheat.

7) For small jars/tins you may find it beneficial

to place a screw ring from an AVENT Bottle
below the jar/tin before adding the water
in order to remove the container easily.

Care of your Bottle Warmer

Unplug and allow to cool before cleaning.
Remove basket and wipe inside and outside
with a damp cloth only, this will keep the
Warmer looking new.

DO NOT USE AN

ABRASIVE CLEANER.

It may be advantageous

to use pre-boiled or filtered water in your
Bottle Warmer in order to reduce limescale
build up.

De-scaling

You should de-scale your AVENT Express Bottle
Warmer every four weeks to ensure it
continues to work 100 % effectively.

EITHER:

Mix one sachet of citric acid (10 gms) with 200
ml / 7 fl.oz. of water. Ensure basket is in place
and pour solution into Warmer. Heat for 10
minutes on setting 3. After 10 minutes, switch
off by unplugging from the wall and leave to
stand for 30 minutes. Pour the solution away
and rinse the Warmer with tap water.

OR

Pour 50 ml / 2 fl.oz. of vinegar (white) mixed
with 100 ml / 4 fl.oz. of cold water into the
Warmer (with basket in place). Allow to stand
in the unit until any limescale has dissolved.
Empty the unit and rinse thoroughly.
