Procedure
1. Place the new O-ring on the front side of the exhaust filters.
2. Mount the exhaust filters using the clamping plate.
– The installation orientation is identifiable by an arrow on the filter.
– The arrow must point upwards (
↑
).
3. Place the new O-ring on the front side of the filter unit.
4. Insert the pre-assembled filter unit into the operating fluid separator.
5. Insert the new filter material into the housing groove of the operating fluid separator while at the
same time securing it with the fixing bolts.
6. Fit the separator cover plate with new flat seal.
7. Tighten the screws on the separator cover plate evenly.
– Tightening torque:
21 Nm
.
During operation, the new exhaust filter becomes saturated with oil. It is therefore normal for the operat-
ing fluid fill level to drop slightly after the filters were changed.
7.5 Cleaning the intake strainer
The intake strainer in the vacuum connection upper section must be cleaned:
● when the throughput decreases
● if there is visible contamination
Prerequisites
● Vacuum pump switched off
● Vacuum pump is vented to atmospheric pressure on the suction side
● Vacuum pump cooled
