User Manual for the Petromax Tripod Lashing
Thank you for choosing the Petromax Tripod Lashing with hooks and chain. With your Tripod Lashing
you can build a functional cooking place on the way using three branches. We are convinced that you

Product description
With the Tripod Lashing set consisting of a stainless-steel disc as well a chain and two hooks made
of zinc-plated steel you can build a functional cooking place with three long branches. Dutch Oven,
Teakettle and co. can be hung onto the chain directly over the fire. Due to the small packing size the
Tripod Lashing becomes a portable and full-fledged cooking place for on the way. Separately, the
Tripod Lashing can be used for Tipi building. The stainless-steel of your Tripod Lashing can discolour
over time. This purely optic effect is normal and no material defect. It depends, for instance, on the
temperatures to which your Tripod Lashing is exposed to.
Safety instructions
• Only use your Petromax Tripod Lashing outdoors as cooking and fireplace. Never use indoors as a
cooking place – Fire hazard and danger of suffocation.
• Comply with fire safety regulations. Show consideration to the plant and animal life and to nature
reserves when using the Tripod Lashing outdoors in nature.
• When building a fireplace maintain the safety distance to flammable and heat sensitive objects
and materials.
• The Tripod Lashing with chain and hooks can become extremely hot during use over the open fire.
Always use fire-resistant gloves when touching the Tripod Lashing and its accessory parts.
• After the fire is extinct the Tripod Lashing with chain and hooks need to cool down completely
before being stowed for transport.
• Never leave the Tripod Lashing unattended when a fire is burning underneath.
• Always keep an eye on children and animals. They must not linger unattended near the fireplace.
• Do not move your tripod, made by means of the Tripod Lashing, while it is in use or while cookware
is suspended on it.
