Before using
Read these instructions carefully. They contain important notes for the
use, safety and maintenance of the appliance.
Keep them in a safe place and transfer them to a possible succeeding
user.
Only use the appliance for the purpose mentioned in these instructions.
When using follow the safety advice.
Safety advice

Plug the appliance only on a 230 V outlet.
·
Never immerse the appliance in water - do not use it while
having a bath or a shower or over a basin filled with water
or with wet hands. Do not use the appliance near bath,
wash basin or other containers filled with water. When the
appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since
the proximity of water presents a hazard.
·
The installation of a faulty current protective device with a rated brea-
king current offers you additional safety by ensuring that 30 mA will
not be exceeded in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Let
your installation electrician advise you.
·
Remove the plug from the mains:
- after each use
- when not in continuous use
- if the unit does not function properly
- before cleaning

Do not pull on lead.
·
Do not submerge the appliance in water. The appliance should not
come into contact with water during cleaning.
·
Never leave the working appliance on a soft cushion or blanket.
·
The cord should never be wrapped around the appliance.
·
Do not use the appliance if:
- the lead is damaged
- the appliance shows signs of damage
- if the appliance has been dropped.
·
The appliance may only be used on dry hair.
·
Do not use on artificial hair.
·
Warning! Avoid skin contact with the hot metal plates as well as the
back housing near the plates otherwise you could get burnt!
·
People with nervous disorders should not operate the appliance when
alone in order to avoid any possible danger.
·
Children are not aware of the hazards of electrical appliances. There-
fore close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by
children.
·
The light of the pilot lamp do not exceed laser class 1 according to
IEC 825-1.
·
In the case of misuse, wrong handling or incorrect repair no liability
will be taken for possible damages. Claims under guarantee are also
excluded in such cases.
·
The appliance is intended only for private use.
·
Packaging material e.g. plastic bags should be kept out of the reach
of children.
