Installation of PT-P40
Note! Be sure to observe the arrow for the flow direction on the double connection flange!
The device type PT-P 40 can only be installed in a horizontal pipeline.
1. The double connection flange is installed in the existing house connection pipe after
the water meter and fine filter or in the cold water supply to the water heater using the
screw connections.
2. Mount the electronics housing on the first housing upper part on the inlet side. To do
this, remove the stainless steel holder from the electronics housing and bolt it to the
upper part of the housing of the pressure vessel (fig. 1). Subsequently, hook in and wire
up the electronics.
3. Plug in the two 4-pin connectors in any position on the bases of the two water treatment
chambers (fig. 2). The cable can be fixed to the tension rods with cable ties.
4. Screw the Hall sensor cable hand-tight into the flow sensor (fig. 3).
5. Screw the eye bolt for the wall support into the base of one of the two water treatment
chambers and fix the supporting spacer rod to the wall (fig. 4).
6. Integrate the optional potential-free output in the building control system (24 V, Imax = 1
A).
7. Start the device as described in section 6 »Commissioning« and check all connections for
leaks.
Device installation PT-P40/2 or PT-P40/3
These are preassembled floor-mounted devices that can be integrated into vertical or
horizontal drinking water pipes using connection kits. We recommend the use of flexible
stainless steel corrugated pipes with drinking water approval.
When selecting the installation site, please consider accessibility to the floor-mounted
device, also in respect of the later necessary exchange of the active units. Check the
shipment for completeness in accordance with the parts listed in section 3. Scope of
delivery. Flush the pipe thoroughly prior to the final installation of the water treatment
device. All components are preassembled only hand-tight and must be checked again for
leaks after installation (PN max. 10 bar).
