Ensure that the sealing surface (4) is clean the free
from dirt. Lubricate the O ring seal (3) on the new
primary fuel filter with clean fuel oil.
6.
Install the new primary fuel filter using hand
pressure only. When the O ring seal (3) contacts
the sealing surface (4), rotate the primary fuel filter
1 full turn.
7.
Repeat Steps 4 to Step 6 for the other primary fuel
filters.
8.
When all 3 primary fuel filters have been replaced,
the secondary fuel filters must be replaced. Refer
to “Operation and Maintenance Manual”

Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electri-
cal components can cause a fire. To help prevent
possible injury, turn the start switch off when
changing fuel filters or water separator elements.
Clean up fuel spills immediately.
NOTICE
Ensure that the engine is stopped before any servic-
ing or repair is performed.
NOTICE
The water separator can be under suction during nor-
mal engine operation. Ensure that the drain valve is
tightened securely to help prevent air from entering
the fuel system.

Typical example
1.
Place a suitable container under the water
separator to catch any fuel that might spill. Clean
up any spilled fuel immediately.
2.
Loosen the drain plug (1). Allow the fluid to drain
into the container until clean fuel can be seen.
3.
Tighten the drain plug (1). Use hand pressure only.
4.
Ensure that all 3 primary water separators are
serviced. Dispose of the drained fluid in
accordance with local regulations.
