cal components can cause a fire. To help prevent
possible injury, turn the start switch off when
changing fuel filters or water separator elements.
Clean up fuel spills immediately.
NOTICE
Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system. Thoroughly
clean the area around a fuel system component that
will be disconnected. Fit a suitable cover over discon-
nected fuel system component.

Ensure that the engine is stopped. Open drain (1).
The drain is a self-ventilated drain. Catch the
draining water in a suitable container. Dispose of
the water properly.

Close drain (3).
NOTICE
The water separator is under suction during normal
engine operation. Ensure that the drain valve is tight-
ened securely to help prevent air from entering the
fuel system.

standards of cleanliness that must be observed
during ALL work on the fuel system.

Turn the fuel supply valve (if equipped) OFF before
performing this maintenance.
2.
Place a suitable container under the fuel filters in
order to catch any fuel that might spill. Clean up
any spilled fuel. Clean the outside body of both
fuel filters.
