
Spin-on filter
Turn the valves for the fuel lines (if equipped) to the
OFF position before performing this maintenance.
Place a tray under the fuel filter in order to catch any
fuel that might spill. Clean up any spilled fuel
immediately.

(1) Fuel priming pump
(2) Spin-on filter
(3) Drain
1.
Clean the outside of the fuel filter assembly. Open
the fuel drain (3) and drain the fuel into a suitable
container.
2.
Use a suitable tool in order to remove the spin-on
filter (2) from the fuel priming pump (1).
3.
Ensure that the fuel drain (3) on the new spin-on
filter is closed.

4.
Lubricate the sealing ring (4) with clean fuel oil.
5.
Install the spin-on filter (2) into the top of the fuel
priming pump (1).
6.
Tighten the spin-on filter by hand until the sealing
ring contacts the fuel priming pump. Rotate the
spin-on filter through 90 degrees.
7.
Prime the fuel system. Refer to Operation and
Maintenance Manual, “Fuel System - Prime”.

Replace
Inspect
all
hoses
for
leaks
that
are
caused
by
the
following
conditions:
• Cracking
• Softness
• Loose clamps
Replace hoses that are cracked or soft. Tighten any
loose clamps.
