Replacing the Main Board Air Filter
If your instrument is used regularly in a dusty environment, the main board air filter may
become blocked. If it does, you may notice that your instrument takes longer to stabilize. To
replace the main board air filter you will need the replacement main board air filter (part
number L1601717).
NOTE:
Alternatively, the filter is washable in water. Ensure it is thoroughly dry before
replacing it in the instrument.
1.
Disconnect from the instrument in your software, if applicable.
2.
Disconnect the instrument from the mains power and then remove any cables
connected to the rear of the spectrometer.
3.
Remove any sampling accessories installed in the sample compartment.
You will need to invert the instrument.
4.
Carefully, turn the instrument over to display the underside, placing the instrument on a
soft surface (Figure 90).
