•  Work Safe. Operate tool a safe distance from yourself and others in the work area. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do 

not overreach, especially on ladders. Be certain ladders being used are sturdy, stable, on a firm surface and erected as safe working 

angles. Do not reach over or across running machines, hoses, cords, etc.

•  Inspect tool before every use; do not use if parts are loose or damaged.

•  Do not alter this product in any way.

•  Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is danger-

ous and must be repaired.

•  Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of 

the power tool is maintained. Follow instructions in the Maintenance section of this manual. Use of unauthorized parts or failure to 
follow Maintenance Instructions may create a risk of shock or injury.

•  Maintain labels and nameplates on the tool. These carry important safety information. If unreadable or missing, contact Performance 

Tool® for a replacement.

•  Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments or changing accessories. Such preventive safety 

measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.

•  Do not use accessories which are not specifically designed and recommended by the tool manufacturer. Just because the accessory 

can be attached to your power tool, it does not assure safe operation.

•  Store idle equipment. When not in use, tools must be stored in a dry location to inhibit rust. Always lock up tools and keep out of 

reach of children and other untrained persons. Switch off all unused electrical tools when stored. Disconnect battery from unit. Tools 
are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

•  Properly dispose of batteries once depleted.  Do not dispose of in a fire.  Check local regulations and follow proper disposal.

•  WARNING: Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities, contains chemicals 

known [to the State of California] to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:

- Lead from lead-based paints. 

- Crystalline silica from bricks and cement or other masonry products.

- Arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber.

Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals: 

work in a well-ventilated area, and work with approved safety equipment, such as those dust masks that are specially designed to 

filter out microscopic particles. (California Health & Safety Code § 25249.5, et seq.)

•  The warnings, precautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations 

that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this 
product, but must be supplied by the operator.

•  WARNING: This product and its packaging contain a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

. Before inspecting walls, shut off the circuit breakers to the whole house.

2. Before inspecting pipes that may contain an electric charge, have them checked by a qualified

electrician.

3. Before inspecting an engine, turn off the automobile.

4. Do not use the camera while standing in water.

5. Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators.

6. Do not expose the display unit to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the display unit will

increase the risk of electric shock.

7. Do not place the camera head and cable into any place that may contain a live electric charge or

moving parts, which increases the risk of electric shock.

8. Make sure your hands are dry before operating the camera or charging the battery.
