STEP 1:
TOP RAIL
• Remove the air conditioner and top rail from the carton. Place
them on a flat surface.
• Align the holes in the top rail with those on the top of the unit.
• Secure the top rail to the unit with three of the 3/8 inch short
screws (A), as shown in diagram to the right.

NOTE:
Higher side of the top rail should be facing the inside of
the room.
STEP 2:
ACCORDION PANEL
NOTE: Top rail and accordion panel are offset at each side to provide the proper pitch to the rear of the unit. This is
necessary for proper drainage.
• Insert the accordion panels into the top and bottom rails of the air conditioner. Fasten the accordion panels to the unit
with 4 small screws A (3/8 in.) as shown in figure below. Place top screw first but do not tighten to allow the bottom
holes to align properly. Place bottom screw and tighten, then secure top screw.
• There is a left and a right accordion panel. Be sure to use the proper accordion panel for each side. Hold the
appropriate accordion panel in one hand and gently pull back the center to free the open end. See figure below.
(When installed, the flange for securing the curtain into the window sill will be facing the room side.)
