Step 2 - First fixing points

Use a 5mm drill bit to drill out the centre of the two marked
positions (one on either side of the footwell area)

Make sure the

rails

are the right way round with the pedals facing the seating area of the kayak.
Push a

M5 x 25 screw

through the first fixing point on each rail that corresponds

to the hole you have just drilled. You will now need to reach in through the front oval
hatch on the Triumph 13 to place a

washer

on the rear of these screws. Then place a

nut

on each of the screws and tighten using a screwdriver and 8mm spanner. You may

need to get someone to help you tighten the screws whilst you hold the spanner on
the back.

Step 3 - Second fixing points

Now that the rails are held in place by the first fixing point, you need to make sure
they sit level within the recessed area to ensure that the pedals can freely slide along
the rails. If the free end of the rail is fixed too high in the recess you will not be able to
fit a washer on the back of the fixing screws. Too low and the footrest pedals will catch
when adjusting. It is important to make sure the rails are level.

Take each rail in turn and once you are happy that you are holding the rail level you
can drill the second fixing positions found at the end of each rail. Use a 5mm drill bit
and drill the hole into the kayak with the rail in place.

Push a

M5 x 25 screw

through the second fixing point on each rail that corresponds

to the hole you have just drilled. You will now need to reach in through the front oval
hatch to place a

washer

on the rear of these screws. Then place a

nut

 on each of

the screws and tighten using a screwdriver and 8mm spanner. You may need to get
someone to help you tighten the screws whilst you hold the spanner on the back.

Step 4 - Pedal adjustment

To move the pedals on the rail squeeze the trigger on the back of each pedal. While
holding the trigger in you will be able to slide the pedal up and down the rail. Release
the trigger when the pedal is at the desired position.

Check all fittings before taking to the water!
