Switchpoint Mode
The switchpoint mode is configured via the IO-Link device parameter.
In an FDT environment, the configuration process is executed under the
Parameter
menu item.
The following descriptions relate to the switchpoint logic setting "active-high." With the "active-
low" setting, the logic values and levels are inverted to the following description:
The switching signal is "active" (1), if the position value is smaller than the setpoint SP1. The
value in SP2 is not used.
The switching system is "active" (1) if the position value is between setpoints SP1 and SP2.
SP1 < SP2 does not invert the behavior.
The switching signal is "active" (1) if the position value does not reach the lower setpoint SP2
and low "inactive" (0) if the position value exceeds the position value of setpoint SP1. SP1 <
SP2 does not invert the behavior.
Note!
The inversion of the switching signal takes place by setting the switchpoint logic parameters
(active-high/active-low).
To suppress unstable conditions, all setpoints (SPx) are assigned a switchpoint hysteresis h.
The switchpoint hysteresis can be set to "low" (0.4 mm), medium (0.7 mm), and high values (1
mm).
An on or off delay can also be defined for the switching signal for extremely short events.
