The function indicator on the handheld reader lights up green. An RS-232 connection is
established.
The handheld reader uses the following RS-232 factory settings:
• 115,200 baud
• 8 data bits
• No parity
3.2 Installing Device Drivers
The handheld reader registers itself as an input device or keyboard. Special device drivers are
not needed.
The operating system automatically installs the drivers for input devices (Human Interface
Device).
