How to correctly place your finger on the scanner for best read quality.
Use
the
flat
fleshy
part
under
the
last
digit
of
your
finger.
Any
finger
can
be
used,
but
it
is
common
for
people
to
use
the
right
index
finger.
Figure
2
illustrates
which
part
of
the
finger
must
be
placed
onto
the
glass
surface
of
the
sensor.
Examples
The
following

where
the
finger
is
placed
correctly
onto
the
sensor
glass.
The
bottom
flat
part
of
the
finger
is
covering
the
whole
of
the
sensor
glass
while
the
finger
is
pressed
firmly
onto
the
glass
surface.

This
part
of
the
finger
is
best
for
firmly
pressing
against
the
glass
window
on
the
scanner.
The
finger
needs
to
be
placed
over

section

Scanner
when
lit
up
with
a
red
light.
