4.2 Main Setup Menu
When you enter the AMI BIOS CMOS Setup Utility, a Main Menu (Figure 1) appears
on the screen. The Main Menu allows you to select from several Setup functions and
two exit choices. Use the arrow keys to select among the items and press Enter to
accept and enter the sub-menu.
A brief description of each highlighted selection appears at the bottom of the screen.

Option specific to your system chipset.

Plug and Play standard and PCI Local Bus configuration
options.
Peripheral
I/O subsystems that depend on the integrated peripherals
controller in your system.
Auto-Detect Hard
Disks
Automatically detect and configure IDE hard disk
parameters.
Change Supervisor
Password
Change, set, or disable s password. The supervisor
password permits access to Setup.
Auto Configuration
with Optimal
Setting
Setup defaults are factory settings for optimal-
performance system operations.
Save Setting and
Exit
Save settings in nonvolatile CMOS RAM and exit Setup
Exit Without
Saving
Abandon all changes and exit Setup.
