materials/manufacturinG
All Pelican SUP’s are made of high density
polyethylene. If your SUP has a Ram-x™ dome
on it, please read the information below regarding
thermoformed Ram-x™ products.
Your SUP is made of Ram-x™. Its great flexibility offers exceptional shock
resistance. This flexibility increases with heat or with the craft’s prolonged
exposure to the sun but may also slightly warp the hull. The warping disappears
when the hull cools and never affects the craft’s performance.
Ram-x™ is a superior material that was developed and registered in 1978. It
quickly became the benchmark of quality in the industry thanks to its shock
resistance and ability to regain its initial shape following an impact. Widely hailed
by consumers, Ram-x™ is a step above other materials used in the industry.
transportation
Handles located on the SUP enable it to be easily carried by hand
by hand:
•
Carry the board by using handles located at the front, rear or center depending
on the model.
•
If necessary, use a device to aid in the transport.
by vehicle:
•
Remove all accessories before transporting your SUP to avoid losing or damaging
them.
•
Before starting your vehicle, ensure that the SUP is properly fastened using a
transportation device on the roof of the vehicle or on a trailer.
•
It is recommended that you stop shortly after starting your trip to double check
that all the connections are secure and the SUP will not move during transport.
During a trip in bad weather, remember to regularly check the straps to ensure
they do not lose tension after getting wet.
note
Avoid keeping the SUP firmly attached to your vehicle for an extended period of
time, particularly when exposed to the sun. This could create distortions in the
hull over time.
