Operation of the small oven

The operation of the small oven can be done by one control knob. You 
can set a temperature and the top and bottom heating elements of the 
small oven are activated.

 

▷

With the same control knob you can also choose for only top 
heat, only bottom heat or only grill. The temperature is at the 
max for these three oven functions.

1.  Select a temperature or an oven function with the control knob.

The control lights of the oven and the thermostat of the small oven 
will light up; the oven is switched on.

2.  Turn the control knob to ‘0’ at the end of the cooking time to switch 

off the oven.

Oven functions of the small oven

Oven light
The oven light switches on and remains on for all other oven functions.

Top and bottom heat
The heating elements at the top and bottom are both activated at the temperature that has been 
set (between 50 °C and 250 °C). The heating elements radiate even heat. This setting is useful for 
the traditional way of preparing dishes. Dishes rise well and brown nicely. You can only use one 
oven level for baking pastries or roasting meat.

Top heat
Only the top element is activated at the highest temperature. This setting is suitable for giving a 
short extra burst of heat to soufflés, meringues, etc., to thoroughly cook them. At the end of the 
cooking process, turn the control knob to the top heat setting.

Bottom heat
Only the bottom element is activated at the highest temperature.

 

This function is advised for 

dishes of which the bottom need good cooking. The bottom of the dishes are thoroughly cooked. 
Before the end of the cooking process is reached (when there is still a quarter of the cooking 
time left), turn the control knob to bottom heat. The dish will then be heated mainly by the 
bottom element, but will continue to brown on top. 

Grill
Only the grill element is activated at the highest temperature. The dishes are heated by the 
radiation heat of the grill element. Flat pieces of meat, chicken or other poultry may be grilled 
directly on the grid shelf. This grill setting is also suitable for toasting bread.
