1.  Mount the Frame(1#) on the floor using four

lag bolts (not supplied). The floor must be level,

solid and capable of supporting the weight of

this Stand, the weight of the Metal Shrinker/

Stretcher, your work materials and the forces

you apply during operation.

2.  First position the Frame (1#), being sure that

there is adequate clearance around it to allow

for safe operation. Mark the position of the four

holes in the Base on the floor.

3.  Drill four holes for the lag bolts. Be sure that

there are no hidden pipes, wires or other

obstructions to drill into.

4.  Install the Frame (1#) on the floor using your

lag bolts. Check to be sure it is plumb and

secure before proceeding.

5.  Attach the Swivel Bolt (14#) to the Foot Pedal

(2#) using the Pin (5#). Secure the Pin (5#) in

place using the Split Pin (10#).

6.  Attach the Foot Pedal (2#) to the Frame (1#)

using Bushing (4#), two Washers (13#) and two

Screws (11#). Position the Swivel Bolt (14#) on

the top side of the vertical member of the

Frame (1#). Check to be sure the Foot Pedal

(2#) is snug and can still freely pivot in the

Frame (1#).

7.  Insert the Push Rod (3#) through the box

section of the Frame (1#) and thread onto the

Swivel Bolt (14#) approximately 38mm.

8.  Thread the Swivel Bolt (17#) onto the upper

end of the Push Rod (3#) inserting it to a depth

of approximately 38 mm. Attach the Driving

Handle (16#) to the upper Swivel Bolt (17#)

using the Pin (18#) and secure the Pin in place

using a Split Pin (10#).

9.  Thread the Connecter (20#) onto the upper end

of the Air Spring (7#).

10. Connect one end of Air Spring(7#) and the Foot

Pedal (2#) using one Bolt (6#) ,one Nut (19#).

Connect the connecter (20#) and the

Frame(1#) using one Bolt (6#), one Nut (19#) .

11. Attach Safety Pin (9#) to the end of Chain (8#)

and secure in place with Split Pin (10#). Attach

this chain assembly to the Frame (1#) using a

Split Pin (10#).

12. With an assistant, attach the Metal Shrinker/

Stretcher to the flange at the top of the Frame

(1#) using two Screws (12#) and Washers

(13#). Check to be sure the tool is secure and

stable.

13. Insert the end of the Driving Handle (16#) into

the Hand Rocker on the back of the Metal

Shrinker/Stretcher.

14. Test the operation of the tool by pressing down

on the Foot Pedal (2#). It may be necessary to

adjust the Push Pod (3#) to synchronize the

operation of the Foot Pedal (2#) of this Stand

and the operation of the Jaws of the Metal

Shrinker/Stretcher.

Operation

1.  When this Stand and the Metal Shrinker/

Stretcher are fully assembled, you can operate

the Metal Shrinker/Stretcher by pressing down

and letting up on the Foot Pedal (2#) in the

same way you can operate the Metal Shrinker/

Stretcher using that tool’s Handle.

2.  When not in use, secure the Foot Pedal (2#) in

the UP position by inserting the Safety Pin (9#)

onto a hole in the box section of the Frame (1#)

under the Foot Pedal. This will prevent the Foot

Pedal from accidentally being pushed down,

which may damage the Jaws of the Metal

Shrinker/Stretcher.
