Operating instructions

Attach the tool to the stand. The harder the tool

is attached, the easier it is to use. Two pre-drilled

holes for M10 screws are located in the base of the

tool. The tool can also be clamped in a vise for

flexible handling. Before using the stretching

machine, block the metal plate at 90 degrees in

a sheet metal bending machine, to create a max.

edge depth not greater than 50mm. Make a

template out of cardboard or a piece of steel wire.
Marking the contour of the section you want to

process is essential to achieve a good fit with

minimal use of putty. Machine the front edge first.

This breaks down the greatest resistance and

allows easy and precise handling thereafter. For

best results and maximum form force, fit the

plate halfway into the craws. ”Clusters” and

”pockets” that are typical effects when shrinking,

can be easily hammered out. The trick lies in the

pressure exerted on the handle while shaping the

plate. Move the plate back and forth until the desi

-

red radius is obtained. The tools’ forces are toothed

to be able to grip the plate better. These

teeth leave small marks, depending on the

hardness of the plate. The marks are removed with

an emery or a wheel.

Take care of the shrinker & stretcher

Avoid injuries and facilitate handling, wear

protective gloves throughout shaping work.
Remove the handle when not in use. NEVER press
