8.0 Troubleshooting

WARNING: FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, ALWAYS SWITCH OFF THE MACHINE AND UNPLUG THE POWER 

 

CABLE BEFORE PERFORMING ANY TROUBLESHOOTING.

Problem

Cause

The machine does not work when 

it is switched on

1.No power supply. 

2. Defective switch.

1.  Check the power cord.

2.  Contact your local dealer for 

service.

The blade does not move when 

the engine is running.

1.  The quick release lever or 

the tensioner wheel have 

not been clamped.

2.  The blade is detached from 

one of the wheels.

3.  The saw blade is broken.

4.  The drive belt is jammed.

1.  Switch off the motor, pull 

the quick release lever or the 

blade tension.

2.  Open the hinged door and 

check.

3.  Replace the blade. 

4.  Change the belt.

The blade does not saw in a 

straight line.

1.  The stop for sawing is not 

used.

2.  Feeding too fast.

3.  The saw blade teeth are dull 

or damaged.

4.  The blade guide is not 

 

adjusted.

1.  Use the stop.

2.  Relieve the pressure on the 

workpiece and make sure that 

the knife does not bend.

3.  Use a new blade.

4.  Adjust the blade guides.

The blade does not saw or saws 

very slowly.

1.  The saw blade teeth are dull, 

caused by sawing hard mate

rial or after prolonged use.

2.  The blade is mounted in the 

wrong direction.

1.  Replace the blade, use 6 T.P.I. 

blades for wood and soft 

 

materials. Use 14 T.P.I. 

 

blades for harder materials. 

(A 14 T.P.I. blade always saws 

slower due to the finer teeth 

and slower cutting 

 

performance.

2.  Mount the blade correctly.

Sawdust is built up inside the 

machine.

1.  Clean the machine regularly. 

Open the doors and remove 

the sawdust with a vacuum 

cleaner.

1.  Excessive dust build-up on the 

external components of the 

machine.

1.  Clean the engine vents with a 

vacuum cleaner. Remove the 

sawdust from time to time to 

prevent it from being sucked 

into the housing.

The machine does not saw at a 

45°or 90° angle.

1.  The worktable is not 

 

perpendicular to the blade.

2.  The blade is dull or there’s too 

much pressure on the 

 

workpiece.

1.  Adjust the table.

2.  Replace the blade or apply 

less pressure to the 

 

workpiece.

The blade cannot be placed 

 

correctly on the pulleys.

1.  The wheels are not in line. 

Defective bearing.

2.  The blade tracking knob has 

not been adjusted correctly.

3.  Poor blades

1.  Contact your local dealer for 

service.

2.  Adjust the knob.

3.  Replace the blade.
